    Position Overview:

     

    The Director, Human Resources will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and manage effective HR programs, practices, policies and systems in in all areas. This is a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” position, within a fast paced, dynamic environment.   Initially, you will be an HR department of one, but you will be responsible for building a team as the company grows. The successful candidate will help shape the organizational structure to match the ambitions of the company, and will continually assess the suitability and effectiveness of programs and recommend changes as necessary.

     

    The Director, Human Resources will build credibility throughout the organization by establishing relationships with management and employees and will be an effective listener and problem solver. They will promote cross functional learning, collaboration, and the sharing of information, experiences, and best practices. They will serve as a vocal and visible champion of WellDoc’s culture and, values, ensuring opportunities for inspiration, integration and improvement and as advocate for a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission of the company. They will provide strategic leadership by articulating and championing Human Resource priorities and plans to the executive management team.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

     

     

    STRATEGY

    • Establish the human resources vision, plans and objectives to enable the organization and the vision to achieve WellDoc’s organizational goals.

     

    STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION:

     

    • Translate the strategy into operational plans.
    • Review and make recommendations to management for improvement on policies and programs for talent retention and acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, compliance, immigration, training, professional and organizational development.
    • Based on an in-depth knowledge of international issues, ensure the effectiveness, coordination and integration of domestic and international programs.
    • Lead or participate in HR, operations, and/or cross-functional, organizational projects. 

     

    PEOPLE AND PROGRAM MANAGEMENT:

     

    • Oversee HR, budgets, programs & projects. 
    • Develop and set up a new integrated HR information system.
    • Create, develop, track and analyze metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs. 
    • Set up the HR department and staff it accordingly.
    • Evaluate the human resource function for continual improvement. 

    Qualifications

    Experience and Skills:

    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5 in a senior leadership position managing HR in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and
    • A Bachelors’ degree in HR management, Business Administration, or related field (or the equivalent combination of education and experience), and
    • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRP credential, and
    • Prior success in leading HR efforts to align structure with organizational strategy and in securing, retaining and building the talent needed for the organization to succeed. 
    • Experience with international HR issues, such as immigration issues and cross border human resource management, and
    • Experience with FMLA and all other requirements for a “greater than 50 employer” as well experience transitioning from a small to large employer, and
    • Experience with HR information management systems.
